It all started in front of the television, dancing to video hits… I knew that one day I’d one day, I’d be a dancer! Well… Actually, it wasn’t like that. At that time, I just knew that I loved music. The only dancing I remember as a child was being a bumble bee in a ballet recital when I was about 7 years old. And it wasn’t until years later, did my adventure begin with Salsa… |

My friends had started Salsa classes close to where I worked. They took me along to class and it didn’t take long before I knew that I loved it! I loved the music, I loved the feel of the movement, (well, what I could do of the movement), I just loved everything about it. |

One night became two nights, two nights became three and you could probably guess the rest… that was over 5 years ago… |

Since joining Latin Motion, I grew further as an instructor and a dancer than I ever have before – being able to share what I love with new people and on the various stages of the salsa scene. In the last 2 years, my greatest dancing achievement would have to being a part of the Latin Motion Modus Vivendi Project. With the team, I’ve had the opportunity to perform nationally and internationally. The Malaysian Salsa Festival in 2007 & 2008 have definitely been one of many highlights for me, especially dancing in tropical weather beside a pool or beach… |

For me, the learning never really stops with dancing… there are so many different styles to experience! (Zouk, Bachata, Kizomba, On1, On 2, Afro just to name a few) |

Dancing is not just about shaking what your mamma gave you or strutting your stuff across the dance floor… its losing yourself in the music. Feeling what it tells you to do, adding a touch of your own personality and sharing that passion with friends, family and new, curious faces. |
