April Big Night Out "Juan Luis Guerra Concert"

Tuesday April 24th Latin Motion Students Night Out

(Anzac Day Eve)

JUAN LUIS GUERRA (born June 7, 1957) is a singer, singer, song writer and producer from the Dominican Republic who has sold over 30 million records, and won numerous awards including 12 Latin Grammy Awards, two Grammy Awards, and two Latin Billboard Music Awards. He recently won 3 Latin Grammy Awards in 2010, including Album of the Year. He is one of and considered the most internationally recognized Latin artists of recent decades. His pop style of merengue, salsa, bachata and bolero and Afro-pop/Latin fusion has garnered him considerable success throughout Latin America. Guerra is sometimes associated as the biggest promoter and producer of the Dominican music called bachata, and while this association is partly true, he actually uses the basics of Bachata rhythm with a more bolero feel to the melodies in some of his songs. He does not limit himself to one style of music, instead, he incorporates diverse rhythms like merengue, bolero-bachata, balada, salsa and rock and roll. “Ojalá Que Llueva Café” (“I Wish It Would Rain Coffee”) is one of his most critically acclaimed self-written and composed pieces. A remix of “La Llave de Mi Corazón” (“The key to my heart”) with Taboo from The Black Eyed Peas is also an example of his fusion of genres.

June Students Night Out: Burn The Floor Show Grand Opening

Show and Talk Back Special Offer for Latin Motion Students at the

Enmore Theatre-Thursday 7th June.7.30pm.

I am excited to be finally bringing the Burn the Floor show back to Sydney this coming
June.

Burn the Floor has evolved a lot since our last visit in 2009 and recently I created five
new original pieces, taking the performance to a whole new energy and feel.

I have also paired SYTYCD winner Robbie Kmetoni with SYTYCD USA finalist Janette
Manrara, in a contemporary twist that shakes up any remaining pre-conceptions of what
can be achieved with the Ballroom Art form, and adds a new dance dimension to the
show.

I have asked the producers to offer a special ticket package to dancers in Sydney that
would include an after show talk back with the cast, this would give me an opportunity to
introduce the dancers.

The dancers are all champions to me, they come from all around the Globe from South
Africa, Italy, England, Venezuela, USA and of course Australia. Many of them performed
with us on Broadway and the West End.

The talk back is great fun, and offers an interesting and educational insight to what life is
like for a dancer, in an international touring show, on and off stage. We will have 2 roving
microphones that will give you the opportunity to ask the questions!

The show package will be on Thursday 7th June, 7.30pm show, which is also the
opening night, so lots of buzz! The cost of the ticket is $39. A saving of $50 per ADULT
ticket. This offer is open to groups of 20 or more and is exclusive to dance studios in
and around Sydney.

If you are interested in the offer all tickets must be purchased by May 1st

My kindest Regards,

Jason Gilkison
