How long is a piece of string? The truth is, its different for everyone although its been proven that the students that practise the most by attending & repeating classes as well as go out to dance, improve faster than then average student that doesn’t.
You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in! Most people come in after work gear but some change to gym attire. Regarding shoes, due to the floor texture at Shark hotel, if you come in rubber soled shoes (sports sneakers) be prepared for the floor to be a little sticky. Ladies especially at the beginning levels, consider not wearing open toed shoes as your feet may get stepped on. Other than that, just dress to have fun!
Wherever you see ‘Salsa 1’ on our class timetable, that refers to Salsa Beginners. Beginners refers to absolute beginners with no prior dance experience although even someone with prior dance experience would still need to learn the basics from the beginning. If you do however have prior dance experience & would like to fast track your learning, please contact us on 0422 030 184 to find out your options!
Latin Motion runs 8 week courses. It is advisable to join within in the first two weeks of each course as from week three, it becomes too hard to catch up on the material missed. Week 4 does hold a Beginner Bootcamp which is a 3 hour workshop style opportunity to learn what you’ve missed out on & join ‘mid course’ so the weeks to join are week 1, 2 & 4. Please inquire on email@example.com regarding your next course start date or Beginner bootcamps coming up!
You can definitely book online. Please go to our classes page to do so. You can also pay cash on the door although booking online does save time at the door!
Definitely not! All of our classes cater to students that both have partners & don’t have partners by using a ‘rotating system’ whereby we rotate all of our students every few minutes, ensuring all of our students get a chance to dance with one another! If you however do not wish to rotate, simply let the instructor know & he/she will happily accommodate to your needs.
